Bah! Humbug! is a unique adaption of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, a seasonal classic that celebrates the transformative vision and power of human redemption.

Produced as a staged reading and musical event, this timeless story continues to speak to us today, especially in light of parallels between the economic disparities of Victorian London and Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.

Join Director Max Reimer (Artistic Managing Director, Vancouver Playhouse), award winning actor Jay Brazeau (Ebenezer Scrooge) and a cast of professional actors and Downtown Eastside community actors in this spirit-lifting story brought to life with words and song. Expect a few entertaining detours along the way with surprise special guests!

Inspired by a collaboration between SFU Woodward's and Vancouver Moving Theatre, this new Woodward's tradition is a benefit for Downtown Eastside community arts practice and the Downtown Eastside Heart of the City Festival.
